Father and Son

On the occasion of the arrival of my son my ex-father-in-law gave me a book set of e.o. plauen’s “Vater und Sohn” (father and son).

First I enjoyed these cartoon myself, then a few years later I looked at them together with my son, still requiring some explanations and now we are at the stage where my son, closing in on his eighth birthday, dug out the books by himself and enjoys them. Here and there there is a little bit of German that I have to translate, but in general they are his books now.

I love the very different mood in these cartoon, they are just have a lot more time. And you also have to bring the time to enjoy them.

So, don’t be in hurry when viewing “Morals and Bees.”

Pity that he had been killed by the NAZI regime but fortunately we still have access to his works through Amazon (the German one).
